Charities of Choice
"The Smiling Mask" team has chosen to support four charities: Moose Jaw Transition House
This charity was chosen by Carla because she has conducted the most post partum research. Carla recognizes her blessings and understands that some mothers and women are not as fortunate as she is. Women’s shelters support women and children in crisis.
This charity was chosen by Elita because her daughter, Ella, attends the YMCA. Elita feels strongly that all children deserve exceptional care and she wants to ensure that the YMCA/YWCA continue great programming. Elita is also very grateful for the exceptional care Moms receive at the Post Partum Support Group offered by Sally Elliott. Elita also sits on the Parent Advisory Committee with the YMCA.
General Hospital NICU/Mother & Baby Unit
his charity was chosen because Katherine (Tania’s daughter) had a several month stay in the NICU as well as Tania had a long-term (6 week) stay within the mother and baby unit. I am eternally grateful to the amazing care-givers who pampered Katherine as well as myself. I have pledged to personally donate my first $10,000 in profit to the NICU so that much needed pre-natal equipment can be purchased (with love from Katherine).Canadian Mental Health Association
Peggy chose this charity because she recognizes the tremendous need to find solutions and increase the support required to assist families suffering from all forms of mental illness, but especially post partum difficulties.
